The erudite ramblings of a native of England

    How to speak in English.

As a good speaker of English you will, of course, know how to tell the difference between the lead in your pencil and the lead on your dog; you will know that enough of a cough can be rough on the throat so don't go out to plough without your coat; though you may need to go through some more to be tough; you ought to be thorough when kneading the d...ough or your bread will not rise. Don't forget to sieve your flour when baking a cake or you will grieve the results...if you thought you be paid for it you should have said in advance.

The road may be broad and setting out early is good. You may clearly wish for five gold rings but I will give you none, even if you are a nun! You may be beau or beauty but when I heard you had a beard I was dissapointed to see a moustache. If your head aches with all this you may be asking how long this can go, your jaw may break as you speak but eating leeks could begin a lucky streak. Perhaps if you scour your tongue for four minutes you will be to talk the local brogue.

As a final twist I'll tell you of Hugh's ruse to booze but when it was time to choose screws to chew and lost his floozy to Susie's Tattoos she mused on the news that twos were bruising - ending our story at a cruise.
